Ammonia synthesis catalyst

The MAXAM-CHIRCHIQ facility in Uzbekistan produces an ammonia synthesis catalyst designed for the conversion of nitrogen and hydrogen into ammonia under industrial conditions. This catalyst is intended for use within a standard temperature range of 400–600°C and a pressure range of 15–55 MPa. It is supplied in two distinct forms to accommodate different reactor loading and activation requirements: an oxidized version designated SA-S, and a pre-reduced version designated SA-SV. The product conforms to the national standard O'zMSt 723:2025.

As a key component in the Haber-Bosch process, this type of catalyst is essential for ammonia production, which serves as a fundamental feedstock for fertilizers, industrial chemicals, and refrigeration systems. International sourcing buyers typically evaluate such catalysts based on their activity, mechanical strength, and thermal stability under the specified operating conditions. The availability of both oxidized and reduced forms allows for flexibility in initial plant commissioning or catalyst replacement procedures.
